The History of Now is the title of my forthcoming book presenting a new methodology for past-present integration, and it is also the title of an exclusive course I have given this past year in conjunction with the writing of the book.
The History of Now — the Course
Every month, students received the next chapter of the book in advance of the coming lecture, and thus had a chance to read the book before anyone else, and to give constructive feedback that has been incorporated into the editing. The course also focused on crucial new concepts in the field of historical cognition that have allowed me to radically enhance the learning experience for students of history.
There is a way for adult students to learn history once and for all, and to throw out all of the misconceptions one may have accumulated about history as an un-integratable plethora and useless academic subject. History is a life-giving power, when properly pursued.
Let me show you how in The History of Now — the Course.
- The distribution of the chapters is generally handled through Yahoo! Groups. Students who join the program are admitted to the group, where they have access to the “files” section.
- There are 10 seminars covering topics such as the method of present-centrismTM, the theory of historical cognition, periodization and anchor factsTM. The seminars typically run 1.5 – 2 hours.
